Exciting announcement

Sunshine Coast Health Foundation fundraising and support will now be under the banner of Wishlist.

Wishlist - Helping Nambour, Caloundra, Maleny and Gympie Hospitals provide quality healthcare for the Sunshine Coast.

Round 4 of Wishlist's annual $1 million funding commitment has been announced.

Wishlist committed to $400,000 worth of equipment and service support initiatives including a new waiting room lounge for the Sunshine Coast Cancer Centre, new $92,000 orthopaedic trauma/traction operating table for Nambour's Operating Suite, a range of resources for the adults with communication impairment following stroke, a staff outdoor area for Nambour's emergency department and equipment for the Dove Patient Care Unit at Caloundra Hospital.

A $42,000 Vision BiPap unit for Nambuor's emergency department will help manage patient loads through winter thanks to supporter of My Property Preview and BOQ Mooloolaba's Melbourne Cup Day event in 2009.

A number of initiatives supporting local juvenile diabetes patients are underway funded with proceeds of last year's Wishlist Spring Carnival Gala in September.

Wishlist thanks the Coast community for supporting these and all Wishlist fundraising events that ultimately stand to benefit all Coast families.

Still on the Wishlist's priority needs register is equipment to support Motor Neurone Disease clients of Nambour's Palliative Care Unit and a number of projects planned for Gympie Hospital.
