Since 1998…

Wishlist has worked with a generous and committed Sunshine Coast community for twelve years, raising funds through events including the Award winning The House the Coast Built.

This project and many more raised $1.7 million to fund the multi-disciplinary Sunshine Coast Cancer Centre opened at Nambour Hospital in 2006.

Sunshine Coast Cancer Centre fundraising continues with the annual Wishlist Row for Cancer held every September. This unique event has raised $80,000 with all proceeds supporting local cancer patients.

Through 92.7 Mix FM’s annual Mix FM Give Me 5 for Kids appeal and the generous support of the community. $1.72 million has been raised for the purchase of paediatric equipment for our local hospitals.

We have bought state of the art equipment, trained paediatric staff and implemented child-friendly areas at Nambour and Caloundra Hospitals, providing a safe and relaxed area in Emergency, Specialist Outpatients , Special Care Nursery and of course the Children’s Ward.

Wishlist provides $100,000 to District Staff each year to subsidise training through the Staff Scholarship fund.

$1million both this year and last has been directed towards local health services by Wishlist.

Wishlist in alliance with the Reed Charity Foundation combined their resources to provide the community with Reed Charity House  for patients and their families requiring ongoing medical treatment at the Nambour Hospital. Completed on the 21st Febuary 2009, the Reed Charity Foundation's $2 million gift to the Coast community is a true collaboration of local business and charities.  The facility is built on land owned by Wishlist.  Local Rotary Clubs, individuals and businesses  generously furnished the building and the Australian Red Cross have been appointed to manage the facility which was opened for busines on the 6th April, 2009.  Wishlist was proud to be working with the Reed Charity Foundation on what was effectively stage two of the Wishlist Cancer Centre fundraising campaign.
